about

Magnificent Desolation is the phrase astronaut Buzz Aldrin used to describe his feelings as member of the three piece crew in the famous Apollo 11 lunar mission.

The exact dialogue was like:
"Aldrin: Beautiful view!
Armstrong: Isn't that something! Magnificent sight out here.
Aldrin: Magnificent desolation."

The guitar Morse like solo and the whole theme that follows it till the last vocal phrase kicks in actually tries to recreate that mix of agony, fear and delight these super humans experienced while out there, literally in the middle of nowhere.

The song ends with the lyrics The mind, control the mind,
cause soul is blind like god I hide inside.

It is true religious beliefs and faith is always an option for humans in a
sort of supernatural sense, but the real thing is the mind.
This is gonna bring you back home safe.

lyrics

Magnificent Desolation

Day after day
You kept me praying for my soul

Tear after tear
We built that fear of big black hole

The space, that sea of grace
Mysterious ways, Gods’ lagoon

Alone, I feel alone
On my own, sky’s the road

The mind, control the mind
Soul is blind like God I hide inside

about

The Slayerking

The Slayerking founded in late 2013 in a rehearsal room. They avoided any publicity until they officially set foot in the scene with their 2016 debut Sanatana Dharma.

Music is doom metal with progressive elements.

Sound is heavy but not compressed.

The Slayerking is a troll that thinks of itself as a King but it's only a Slayer who unremorselessly slays any hope morals have about salvation.
